Zeta Delta Chapter at University of Rochester

Hello and welcome to the Zeta Delta chapter of Delta Gamma at the University of Rochester! As president, I am honored to be a leader for our chapter of 47 women that have bonded as University of Rochester classmates, friends, and sisters. It is my hope that this website is able to give you a glance into our chapter full of diverse, unique, women united by the drive to “Do Good”

As the Delta Gamma mission statement sets forth; “Delta Gamma offers to women of all ages a rich heritage based on principles of personal integrity, personal responsibility and intellectual honesty. Its primary purpose is to foster high ideals of friendship, promote educational and cultural interests, create a true sense of social responsibility and develop the finest qualities of character.” Being members of the Zeta Delta chapter we pride ourselves in exemplifying our mission statement at the University of Rochester. Our sisters strive to reach academic excellence and success in many areas of study such as engineering, medicine, social sciences and more, by holding themselves as well as other sisters to high standards and providing each other academic support. Delta Gammas push ourselves each day in a multitude of aspects in our lives, so it comes as no surprise that in addition to being active members of the greek community, our sisters are involved in a wide range of extracurriculars including athletics, performance groups, and community service. We also serve as role models and leaders looking to help our classmates and peers through leadership positions in clubs, on campus jobs, as well as being teaching assistants, allowing our members to inspire others within the campus community.

While the members of the Zeta Delta chapter are passionate about their on campus involvement, we are also very humbled to play a part in the city of Rochester’s community by impacting many people's lives through selfless philanthropic pursuits and community service. The Delta Gamma Fraternity’s philanthropy serves to benefit three programs at a national level, those being Service for Sight, the Golden Anchor Program, and Joining Forces. In order to aid these programs, our sisterhood hosts a semesterly Anchor Games fundraiser in addition to actively trying to raise awareness for these causes around campus throughout the year. We are also grateful to be given the opportunity to serve the community first hand by taking weekly visits to the Rochester Episcopal Home to volunteer and help the elderly, and aiding members of the Rochester Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired. Our sisterhood could not be more thankful for the chance to serve the people around them on such a regular basis.

That being said, while Delta Gamma is able to perform great tasks and provides and serves others each day, it is much more than that, Delta Gamma is home. I could not be more proud to be a part of this organization, and I am so fortunate that I was given the opportunity to immerse myself amongst many great women and an institution that reaches far beyond just the University of Rochester. The environment that the Zeta Delta chapter creates is so rare and authentic, unlike anything else I have experienced. The women that I get to call my sisters are the most genuine people I have ever met, allowing for a place of personal growth, support, and inspiration every single day. We don’t allow each other to settle, and I am amazed to see what my sisters have achieved through the consistent push from each other to be their best and break down barriers. It is a real privilege that not only do I get to be a member, but also a leader of Zeta Delta. We are confident, we are one of a kind, and we provide unparalleled love and friendship for each other, always.

Delta Gamma has allowed me to learn many things about myself, as well as the importance of sisterhood and sincere and everlasting friendship. I love this organization and I am so happy that I get to call it home for the short period of time that I am at the University of Rochester, so it is my hope that this website can really illustrate how exceptional our sisterhood is. Thank you!

For Hope. For Strength. For Life.
