Delta Gamma

Academic Excellence

The Zeta Delta chapter at University of Rochester strives to provide an encouraging and supportive community for all its members’ academic endeavors. As a chapter we provide assistance, support, and recognition for all of our members. Our members represent majors in all fields, including engineering, public health, religion, neuroscience, and political science, just to name a few. Many of our members are also teaching assistants, workshop leaders, and tutors who go beyond our chapter to help their peers. You can always find members of our chapter working together in the library or helping each other study for an upcoming exam in the lounge. We encourage members to ask each other for help, and we give them a chance to recognize not the only the women who have performed well, but the women who have worked exceptionally hard to do well in school. On a national level, women who achieve a 4.0 for the first time are awarded a Lamp of Knowledge pin to recognize this incredible accomplishment.

Members of Zeta Delta consistently perform well academically, and we pride ourselves on the fact that over half of our chapter is appointed to the Dean’s List at the end of each semester. In order to receive this honor, students must earn a 3.4 or higher. This is an amazing accomplishment for our chapter, and an even greater achievement for each of those individuals. Academic excellence is a core value of Delta Gamma, and the members of Zeta Delta are great role models not only for their sisters, but for all students at the University of Rochester. We inspire and motivate each other, and of course, strive to be ever better.
